May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month blog hop! There are more than 60 ladies participating in this blog hop, so make sure to make your rounds! You should have arrived here from Heather’s blog. If you ever get lost along the way, you can find the complete list of bloggers here.

Today I have 2 cards to share with you! And, believe it or not, both of these cards were made entirely from scraps! (well, minus the ribbon, that was straight off the spool!)

First I have this fun black/white/red version for you. Such a simple card, but I think it makes quite the little statement, don’t you?

I just stamped the largest image off the corner to give it a bit of a graphic look, added the red scraps, and attached to the card. The size of the card is 4 1/4 square.

The second card I again used the off the edge stamping to make these fun borders. I then added the ribbon, and cut out the flower. Then I added the ink for the flower (yeah, I know, that’s backwards), and added a fun popped center!

What do you think?

Next you are off to Karen’s blog! Have fun hopping along!

Thank you for posting this Michelle, I don’t have the water color pencils but wanted to use this stamp for a friendship card for my best friend and her favorite color is red… thanks to your lovely card, I think my problem is solved! 🙂

This is a gorgeous card, I would love to make this for my friend. She just got home from the hospital from surgery. She spent 2 weeks in the hospital for emergency surgery. She loves red and has her kitchen decorated with red.

Can you tell me what color you used for the sunflower? The shading is perfect as well as the card.

      Lora,

This was many years ago, but I believe I just used a yellow inkpad and a water brush to paint the color in. I stamped the center on some chocolate cardstock, and cut it out to pop it up.
