February Blog Hop ~ Home Sweet Home ~

Welcome hoppers!

As you have seen, there is some great artwork in this blog hop already! You should have arrived here from Haley’s Blog. What a great idea to document her journey, right?

This month, the set is called Home Sweet Home, and has four great images on it.

I found a great inspiration image (which I saved, on my laptop that died yesterday), but am not able to share it with you! (sorry!!)

I ended up making a whole set of cards, and this whole process was fairly simple!

I used our great buttons on this project too!

I’ll show the how to below, so scroll down if you would like to see. Or, you can hop on over to Vicki’s blog

So, my first step was to pick the colors that I wanted to use, and then I stamped the image that I wanted one time on each of the sheets of cardstock with white daisy ink. (I chose hollyhock, pear, lagoon, desert sand, sunset, and blush)

Then I cut them into strips using the CTMH ruler and cutting knife (as shown below) and then trimmed them down and notched them into banner shapes with my microtip scissors.

Then, I laid them out on my versamat so that I had all the colors in each one, and made sure there weren’t two pinks next to each other.

I added some colonial white banners to help balance it. I popped the whole thing up on some foam tape. Added some seam binding and a button and put it on the card. I think it turned out super cute! And, for about the same amount of effort, I now have 6 different cards that I can give out to people.

I hope that you enjoyed my cards and my mini tutorial!

Have a crafty day!
